Anthony Barbarino, 38, was sentenced on Thursday, Oct. 24 to 33 months for possession of child pornography, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said in a news release.
According to court documents and statements, Barbarino had 93 pictures and 108 videos of child sexual abuse on three electronic devices between Tuesday, Apr. 12, 2022, and Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022.
At least one photo included a child younger than 12 and at least one other picture showed "sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence." Barbarino was working as a nurse when he was arrested.
As part of his sentence, Barbarino will receive 10 years of supervised release, along with $23,000 in restitution to victims and fines.
